Poly Doing Good

in the Community

We recognize that not everyone has equal access to professional opportunities. Some of the most successful leaders could be among those seeking that crucial next step in their career, and the world is filled with those who are in need - in general. We do our best to give back by putting our own time to good use, and are trying to help connect great talent to great opportunities.

Here's how we're doing it

Connecting the Dots

Networking/discussion series

We are working on developing our fall/winter series for 2017, come back soon!

The Future of Work

Project demands, reorganization, a need to bolster capabilities of your team – these are all factors that influence the changing nature of our work environments, and challenge us as managers. Understanding these shifts and creating access to resources to accommodate the change can help prepare business owners, leaders, HR departments and workers. What will the future of work look like and how can we make sure we are keeping up with this change?

Service Desk 2.0

Genius Bar, Deskside visits, Level 1 support – the Service Desk support function is evolving and employees are more technically savvy than they ever were before. Calls for support are seeking more about how to solve problems and expecting knowledgeable and excellent customer service. Finance managers want the support cheaper, better, faster. Let’s get together and discuss the various environments, share ideas and look at processes that really work.

Onboarding Employees – Effectively

We spend so much time and money finding the right hire. Unfortunately, one of the most common gaps is that we don’t structure and implement an onboarding plan for our newest assets that will ensure success. The first 3 months are critical. Join us as we discuss the various ways to create the proper template, success criteria and review process to close out on the onboarding period with success!

Our ‘Connecting the Dots’ series highlights key issues that affect our clients and colleagues, and facilitates group discussion for those who are interested in having a group forum in which to explore the chosen topic. We’d love to have you join our sessions!

Leadership

Committed to supporting women in business

Women often struggle to find a network of senior mentors to help them grow their careers. Unfortunately, this isn’t unusual - the Canadian business community has long been identified as “lagging behind to support women in leadership roles, and the shortcoming is noticeable on both a local and international scale…” (Huffington Post). One consequence is that women-owned startups have decreased.

To help improve things for women in business, we’re committed to initiatives which support women in leadership and entrepreneurial roles.

We are proud to be involved with:

"Life-fulfilling work is never about the money - when you feel true passion for something, you instinctively find ways to nurture it."

The Poly Team Effort

Volunteer Projects and Giving Back

All PSG employees and contractors are encouraged to take 3 paid days per year out of the office to spend on community service and volunteering projects. As a group, the PSG team supports a variety of great organizations, getting behind the goals of some of our amazing clients and employees, and their causes. Watch this space for more information about what the PSG Team is doing this month!
